Chester Kuschmider Remembered In Frederick, Maryland, For Years Of Service To Maryland School For The Deaf Students And Athletics
Chester Kuschmider’s passing in Frederick, Maryland, on May 25, 2026, brought deep sadness to the Maryland School for the Deaf community.
Kuschmider served as a steady coach and mentor for young athletes at MSD, giving time, patience, and clear guidance across baseball, football, softball, and other school activities.
As head coach of the MSD Orioles baseball team, Kuschmider helped students build skill, discipline, teamwork, and confidence.
In 2016, Kuschmider and coach Jenna Hubble also guided students from Rockville High School to a national academic victory at Gallaudet University’s competition.
Kuschmider also shared creativity through artwork and murals around campus, leaving visible reminders of a lasting bond with the school community.
